In the heart of a forgotten city, beneath a crumbling roof of a dilapidated building, a pale architect sat quietly. His white hair, messy and windswept, contrasted sharply with his worn, weathered skin. His open white shirt revealed scars that lined his chest and arms, each one a testament to battles long past. His brown pants, torn at the knee, brushed lightly against the cracked floor where ivy sprouted through, reclaiming the space once ruled by man.
Beside him sat a woman, her presence commanding even in the stillness. Her skin, rich in contrast to his, was a deep ebony that gleamed beneath the golden armor she wore. Her black braids, intricately woven, cascaded down her back, but her eyes remained hidden beneath a helmet that covered half her face. She seemed otherworldly, her stillness giving her an almost regal air. The armor clinked softly as she shifted on the crate they shared.
The architect, silent as ever, gently placed his arm around her. His fingers brushed her shoulder, resting against the cool metal of her armor. She leaned into him, seeking the quiet comfort of his presence. Though the world around them had collapsed into ruin, within this broken-down space, they had found something unspoken—a refuge.
The faint sound of wind stirred the ivy, rustling leaves and sending a breeze through the fractured windows. Neither of them spoke. They didn’t need to. The scars on their bodies told enough stories—of battles, of survival, of an uncertain future they both faced. Yet, sitting there on those brown crates, beneath a fractured sky, they found solace in the chaos.
