Biography:
Born in the undercity of Zaun, Nyxara was no stranger to hardship. From an early age, she became fascinated with the blend of chemtech and hextech technologies, spending years in the shadow of towering factories, watching the balance between life and machinery blur. She grew up as an apprentice under an eccentric chemtech inventor, who took her in after witnessing her raw talent for tinkering with machinery. However, after her mentor was killed in a violent political purge by the ruling barons of Piltover, Nyxara was left to fend for herself, swearing vengeance on those who had exploited Zaun.
During her journey to reclaim her city and liberate its people from oppression, Nyxara modified her body using chemtech and hextech implants. Her wings were born from a combination of the two technologies, allowing her to glide through Zaun's smog-filled sky and unleash devastating strikes. Her mechanical gauntlets were created as tools of war, capable of dishing out crushing blows while augmenting her technical skills in battle.
But her greatest creations are her droid companions: four small flying saucer-shaped constructs, each infused with a piece of her own rebellious spirit. Together, they act as her loyal companions, assisting in both battle and strategy, amplifying her abilities while making her a force of nature on the battlefield.
Nyxara sees herself as a revolutionary, determined to bring justice to Zaun and Piltover alike. She holds no love for the aristocrats of Piltover, believing that only through chaos and invention can true equality be achieved.
Abilities:
Passive – Hexborn Tech Mastery:
Nyxara's droid companions assist her automatically, boosting her basic attacks with extra energy damage. For each droid still active, Nyxara gains additional attack speed and movement speed. The droids can also absorb damage aimed at her, sacrificing themselves temporarily to protect her.
Q – Pulse Gauntlet Strike:
Nyxara channels energy into her hextech gauntlets and dashes forward, delivering a powerful punch that stuns and damages the first enemy hit. If she has at least one active droid, she can extend the dash distance. Upon hitting a target, her droids emit a shockwave dealing AOE damage.
W – Chemtech Wingsweep:
Nyxara unfurls her chemtech wings, sweeping them in a wide arc. Enemies caught in the strike are slowed and take damage over time due to the chemtech toxins. If used in the air, Nyxara performs a quick dash or leap, dodging incoming attacks.
E – Droid Deployment:
Nyxara releases one of her droid companions to a designated location. Each droid has a unique ability when deployed:
- Sparx: Shoots out bolts of hextech energy, damaging and slowing enemies in a line.
- Tinker: Repairs Nyxara or nearby allies over time, providing a brief shield after the healing.
- Blip: Creates a chemtech fog that stealths Nyxara and nearby allies for a short duration.
- Bolt: Unleashes an EMP pulse, silencing enemies and disabling their shields for a brief period.
R – Techno-Rebellion Overload:
Nyxara releases all of her droids at once, entering Overload Mode. In this form, her attacks deal bonus energy damage and her wings emit a massive shockwave that pushes enemies away. Each droid pulses energy at different intervals, causing continuous AOE damage and enhancing her movement. If a droid is destroyed during Overload Mode, it recharges faster, but she loses a portion of the bonus damage until it returns.
Droid Companions:
Sparx: The most aggressive of the droids, Sparx has a quirky personality, often impatient and eager for action. It fires energy bolts that explode on impact, and when not in battle, it flits around Nyxara’s head like an energetic spark.
Tinker: A calm, methodical droid who focuses on repairing damage. Tinker is more protective, constantly scanning Nyxara for damage and patching her up during downtime. Its voice is soothing, always speaking in a reassuring tone.
Blip: Mischievous and playful, Blip is often found playing pranks on the other droids when not in combat. Its main ability revolves around cloaking, and it uses its stealth abilities to dart in and out of danger. Its voice has a giggling, playful quality.
Bolt: The tactical genius of the group, Bolt is serious and calculating, always analyzing the battlefield. It is capable of disabling enemy systems and enjoys quick, efficient victories. Its tone is always direct, no-nonsense.
Personality:
Nyxara is fierce, rebellious, and driven by a deep sense of justice. Her experiences in Zaun have made her distrustful of authority, and she’s quick to act on her own terms. Despite her hard exterior, she cares deeply for her droid companions, treating them almost like family. She has a dry sense of humor, and while she isn’t quick to trust, once she forms a bond, she’s loyal to the end.
